The Honeywell S87D1012 is a solid-state direct spark ignition (DSI) control module designed for gas-fired heating appliances such as furnaces and boilers. It utilizes a two-rod flame sensing system, providing reliable ignition and flame detection. The module initiates an 11-second ignition trial, and if the main burner fails to ignite, it enters an 11-second lockout period. After this lockout, the system can be reset via the thermostat. This control module is compatible with gas controls rated up to 2.0A, including models like VR8205 and VR8305, and is suitable for both natural gas and propane applications.
