The IFM KG5046 is a cylindrical capacitive proximity sensor designed for non-contact detection of both metallic and non-metallic objects in industrial automation applications. With a sensing range of 8 mm, it offers reliable performance in detecting objects through non-metallic barriers such as plastic or glass. The sensor operates within a voltage range of 10–36 V DC, providing flexibility for various control systems. Its M18 × 1 threaded housing ensures secure mounting, while the IP67 rating guarantees protection against dust and water ingress, making it suitable for use in demanding environments.
