The IFM KI5087 is a robust cylindrical capacitive proximity sensor designed for non-contact detection of both metallic and non-metallic objects in industrial automation applications. With a sensing range of 15 mm, it offers reliable performance in detecting objects through non-metallic barriers such as plastic or glass. The sensor operates within a voltage range of 10–30 V DC (up to 36 V DC at 60°C), providing flexibility for various control systems. Its M30 × 1.5 threaded housing ensures secure mounting, while the IP65/IP67 rating guarantees protection against dust and water ingress, making it suitable for use in demanding environments. The KI5087 features a programmable output function (normally open or normally closed) and includes a yellow LED indicator for easy status monitoring. Additionally, it supports IO-Link communication, enabling advanced diagnostics and parameterization.
