The Keyence KV-5500 is a high-performance programmable logic controller (PLC) from the KV-5000 series, featuring a built-in EtherNet/IP™ port for seamless industrial communication. Designed for demanding automation tasks, it offers rapid processing speeds with basic instructions executed in a minimum of 10 nanoseconds. The KV-5500 supports up to 16 expansion units, accommodating a maximum of 3,096 I/O points, making it suitable for complex systems requiring extensive I/O configurations. Its robust design ensures reliable operation in environments with temperatures ranging from 0°C to 50°C and humidity levels between 10% and 95% RH (non-condensing). Please note that this model has been discontinued, with the KV-5500E recommended as its successor.
